Concept to cut
Treatment, casting and directing for commercial campaigns, documentaries and theatre.
I learned the camera before I learned the brief.
Lighting other people's stories, one setup at a time.
Shooting and lighting narrative and commercial work, learning the grammar of a set before I ever ran one. Then I moved, and started again.
Television and film production at Trebas Institute, in a city that runs in two languages and expects you to keep up.I stopped waiting for the brief and started writing it.
Directing campaigns by day, studying marketing by night, until the two stopped being separate jobs.I build the campaign, then I shoot it.
I grew up in Alexandria and learned a camera before I learned a brief. I work out of Montréal now: I direct, shoot, light and cut, and I build the campaigns the films run inside. Trained in film and television production at Trebas, finishing a marketing degree at HEC Montréal.
I shoot, direct, light and cut, and I am finishing a marketing degree at HEC Montréal so that I can also write the brief the film answers. Most people in this business do one or the other.
The work runs in three languages. A commercial for a Montréal brand, a documentary for a church, a drama shot with friends, a reel in Egyptian Arabic for a channel of my own. Different rooms, same job: work out what the thing is meant to say, then make it say that.
Treatment, casting and directing for commercial campaigns, documentaries and theatre.
Cinematography and lighting design for narrative and commercial work, solo or leading a crew.
Cut, colour and sound in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Suite, through to delivery.
Campaign strategy, digital advertising and brand visibility, planned before the camera goes up.
We Are Witnesses (2024), directed from script to opening night: blocking, performance and the visual language of a live show.
Documentaries and short films for churches and non-profit organisations, directed, shot and cut end to end.
I started out shooting and lighting for Nofal Films in Egypt, then moved to Montréal and trained in television and film production at Trebas Institute.
As Producer and Creative Director at Studio Bound I ran ad campaigns from brief to delivery for Ideal Security, Kyodan Active and Bemma Design: pitching the concept, then directing, shooting and cutting it. I now work freelance, manage production projects part-time at e-SKY Production, and handle both the marketing strategy and the video for Amir Architect.
The marketing side is deliberate, not a sideline. I'm completing a Bachelor in Marketing at HEC Montréal, already certified in advertising and creative communication and in business management. It means I can read a brief as a marketer, then answer it as a director.
In 2026 I designed and taught a course on AI prompting for video and image generation to twenty young creatives at Mousa Academy. I also direct and edit documentaries and short films for churches and non-profit organisations, which is still some of the work I'm proudest of.
Montréal runs in two languages and my work runs in three. Every brief, shoot and edit happens in whichever one the room needs.
Commercials and brand films, documentaries, theatre, social campaigns, and volunteer work for churches and non-profits.

Freelance direction, camera and edit. Full-time creative, video or marketing roles. Part-time while I finish the degree.
Montréal and Québec in person. Canada-wide and remote for edit and strategy. Egypt and the Middle East when the project calls for it.
English, French and Arabic fluently. Spanish at an intermediate level. Briefs, sets and edits in any of them.
